Start Search & Hiring
Hire a buying agent (aankoopmakelaar) and get a pre-approval from a mortgage advisor. Check bridging loan feasibility.
Win a Bid & Sign
Sign the preliminary purchase agreement (koopovereenkomst) for the new house.
Mortgage & Bridging Loan
Arrange your mortgage and bridging loan. An appraiser (taxateur) will need to value both your old and new home.
Prep Old House
Hire a selling agent (verkoopmakelaar). Fix minor issues, take professional photos, and get an energy label.
Move In! (New House Notary)
Notary day for the new house. You get the keys! The bridging loan activates to cover the payment.
Sell Old Home
List your old house on Funda. Host viewings and accept the best bid.
Handover Old Home
Notary day for the old house. The buyer pays, and the proceeds immediately pay off your bridging loan automatically.
